Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with all of the info out there. So to make it easy we’re going to post a weekly update.

Lots to talk about this week. App Groups started this past Sunday night. If you didn’t make it out for the first week, no worries just show up this week. Also, and this is key, invite new people. One of the things that we’ve talked about since we first started dreaming was the idea of aggressively pursuing relationships. We don’t want the groups to become “holy huddles” for just us. We want groups to be a way to connect people to Christ and each other. So with all that said, invite friends, coworkers, neighbors, your bank teller, etc. For more info on groups click here.
Also as your App Group leaders probably mentioned, each group is going to serve on Saturday a month starting August 21st. Your group leaders will have more details but here is the schedule. The times will be from 10 am to 12pm (noon).
 
August 21, September 18  South Louisville Group
August 28, September 25  East Side Group
September 4, October 2     Southern Indiana Group
September 11, October 9   College Group
 
 
 
The third thing is that for everyone who signed up to get a shoe gift card for The Family Scholar House, those gift cards need to be turned in by this Sunday. Each gift card should be put into some sort of encouragement card with the child’s name on it. You can turn those into your App Group leaders. On August the 10th at 5pm  everyone will get to meet the families, serve cake and punch, and brighten someone else’s day. The address is 403 Reg Smith Circle Louisville KY 40208.
